Shane Barber is a respected leadership/management resource who partners to help organizations optimize their workforce strengths and systems design. Shane specializes in business strategy, organizational design, operations management, and innovation/problem-solving.

Shane Barber has amassed over 30 years of experience in the manufacturing industry and has facilitated transformations for over 200 companies. Shane’s diverse skills in management/leadership, systems development, human resource management, professional training and performance consulting help his partners solve a wide variety of business challenges.

Here is a snapshot of a few things he has accomplished:

  • As a consultant, Shane has transformed small, medium and large companies both in their bottom/top line revenues as well as their culture. He carries a record of 20% improved performance on metrics of safety, quality, cost, output, and morale, in addition to helping companies achieve 2x growth in revenues.
  • At Intel, Shane managed more than 550 people and $4 billion in assets. The factories under Shane's management performed 20% higher than all other Intel factories in categories of safety, quality, cost, output and morale.
  • As Worldwide Operations Systems Developer at Intel, Shane developed production control systems that were implemented in all Intel corporate factories around the world (7 production factories and 3 assembly test sites). They are still being used 17 years later.

Shane has a Production Operations Management degree from New Mexico State University. He has also received specialized training in human resources and organization development from the Teachers College at Columbia University, and is a Certified WorkStyle™ Coach.

Shane has held roles in HR, org development, executive coaching, and performance consulting. As a specialist in the field of organizational design he has driven productivity, cost improvement, employee engagement and retention rates as well as safety and quality improvements.

Shane is a champion of innovation. Before his role at iMpact, he founded Carbon Dwell Homes—a family-run business that produces custom, alternative dwellings by “upcycling” shipping containers.

Shane’s professional service extends into the community via his seat on Big Brothers Big Sisters Rio Rancho board, a non-profit organization providing one-to-one mentorship to children. Shane is also the Director of Development for Kareer Insights which helps youth and young adults establish a foundation based on the connection of their passions and career choices to enrich their life experiences.
